We have just delivered the final vfx shots for our first foray into the world of 360 video.

2167 is a virtual reality project commissioned and produced by TIFF, imagineNATIVE, Pinnguaq and the Initiative for Indigenous Futures, and we teamed up with director Danis Goulet to help her realize her vision, The Hunt, as part of this series.

With a razor thin turnaround time, we had to be efficient in order to create the numerous elements that were needed to help sell the dystopian world of the film. CG geese, set extensions, digital set dec, atmospherics, lasers, not to mention the sinister surveillance Orbs that monitor the activities of the characters. It was a total thrill to wrap our heads around the extra dimension of thinking and problem-solving in 360 degree 3D space, and we were excited to learn a whole new set of tools to design the workflow.

Can’t wait to experience it on a headset and, even more, watch others experience it.
